The 2 bed bungalow is in a lovely location on the edge of green belt. My Mother was becoming less steady on her feet and we put forward a solution to her that we would extend the bungalow to include a self contained “Granny Flat”. We had plans drawn up that would do this and also to extend the main house to include a large family kitchen, two double bedrooms downstairs and a master bedroom in the loft with en-suite. We submitted the plans and they were approved by the planning department.
My mother then decided that she wanted more independence from the family but still agreed that to have stairs would not be helpful so She purchased a flat where she is now very happy.
