House Price Research

How much should you pay for a renovation project? A useful indicator is how much houses sold for in the area you are looking in. It is now much easier to research these prices thanks to the Land Registry who publish this information on the internet. All you have to do is input the postcode / street name of the area you are interested in and the computer will do the rest. Armed with this information you will be better prepared to buy at the right price. The Land Registry is a government department, so you will be getting your price information "from the horse's mouth". However they do charge £3 for each title register, and there are now property websites that provide this information for free. These websites pay to use the Land Registry information, and recoup their costs by advertising products on their website.
