1 March - Stripping

I have now exposed all the floor. There is no ventillation underneath so I am going to install some air bricks to try and prevent
any further deterioration. |
18 March - Butchery
I have another deer to cut up which is great - fantastic steaks, some roasting joints, venison burgers and a load of stewing steak which
I am going to turn into curry.
22 March - Fixing the joists
I am trying to retain as much original timber as possible by cutting out the rotten bits and scarfing in new timber. There is a "tree"
in the middle of the floor supporting the joists which are notched into it.
28 March - Fireplace in
With the aid of my mother-in-law I have installed the new fireplace - it weighs a ton.
