Renovation Blog - by Henry, pickupaproperty director

My name is Henry and I'm one of the founders and directors of pickupaproperty. I have renovated a number of properties in the past and have finally managed to buy what I hope will one day be my dream house in the countryside. It's in Lincolnshire, and is some way above sea level so I hope to be here for many years.

The house is in a pretty bad way, and I have two small boys running around so it can be manic at times. I am juggling my work for pickupaproperty with project management and quite a bit of hands-on work, so I'm busy seven days a week.

We moved here for a better quality of life (though not sure it feels like that yet!), more space and room to grow our own veg and keep a few animals. We are embarking on some of these projects as we go along as well so forgive me if I stray from strict renovation at times, but I hope to keep you up to date with what is going on and hopefully provide some useful information on a "live" renovation as I go.
