Introduction to Lime Day

17th May 2008
Upwell, Norfolk/Cambs border

This is a repeat of our hugely popular Lime Days.
We will cover all the important SPAB principles of why traditional buildings need to breathe and the reasons why lime is the most appropriate material to use in their repair. Also covered will be the basic chemistry, different mortar & plaster mixes, sands, additives and suppliers.

Mostly though it will be a hands on day with plenty of have-a-go opportunities to try plastering, limewashing, repointing and building using lime products guided by experts in the field.

It is suitable for professionals (such as architects and surveyors), tradesmen (builders, plasterers etc) as well as home owners.

The cost for the day is £50 for professionals, and £35 for others. Lunch and refreshments are included.

Book early as places are limited. Preference will be given to those from East Anglia but all enquiries are welcome.
