5 February - Snow

It has snowed and so we have built a snowman. I'm struggling with some plumbing challenges as well.

8 Feburary - More Plumbing
Well I thought I had it sorted but have discovered a leak in the soil pipe, to which I have virtually no access. Eventually, after removing far too many bits of ceiling, floor and wall I have managed to cut out the offending section and replace it. Fingers crossed that at least it is cured.

14 February - Floor down

The plumbing is all done and tested, insulation is in and I'm laying the floor. The plastering is next.

19 February - Insulation, insulation, insulation

I have just taken delivery of a truck-load of Thermafleece insulation, from the excellent Ty Mawr, so that I can insulate my loft and no doubt make the house warmer and cheaper to heat. My thoughts go to Phil Spencer, whose company Garringtons has just gone into administration (administration, administration).

23 Feburary - Wardrobes
I have just spent a couple of days in Manchester building wardrobes. All done and fitted - now back to the work on our house.

27 February - Digger

We have dug various holes for our new apple trees, and cleared a large area full of bricks, rubble, some tree trunks and, rather bizarrely, three buried car wheels.
